What does “Officially Confirmed by Sony” mean?
XPRO uses a genuine Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 image sensor purchased through authorized supply channels. AKEEYO has also received written confirmation from Sony verifying our use of the sensor.
Unlike brands that only mention a Sony sensor in the specs, AKEEYO can support this claim with official written documentation from Sony.
Will XPRO fit my Lexus RX or NX?
This page covers two fits:

Is XPRO a front-only dash cam?
Yes. XPRO is a single-channel dash cam for the road ahead in true 4K at 25fps. It does not include a rear camera.
What if I am not sure it will fit?
Send a clear photo of the plastic housing behind your rearview mirror to help@akeeyo.com, with your year, model (RX or NX), trim, and country. Our team will help confirm before you order.
Will installation damage my Lexus?
Fitted correctly, the shell needs no drilling, cutting, or splicing of the mirror area, and you can remove it later to refit the original cover.
Use the included trim tool and the model-specific guide. ACC hardwire taps the fuse box as shown; OBD is a plug-in at the OBD-II port.
Does XPRO record automatically?
Yes. When your Lexus is powered and XPRO is connected through the selected kit, it starts recording automatically.
Loop recording overwrites the oldest unlocked footage when the card is full. If the G-sensor detects an impact, the current clip is locked so it is less likely to be overwritten.
How do I view and download footage?
Connect your phone to XPRO via the AKEEYO app and the camera’s Wi-Fi. You can view the live feed, review recordings, and download clips without removing the microSD card.
Is GPS included?
GPS is optional and needs the XPRO GPS Module. Once connected, route, speed, direction, location, and time can be saved with compatible footage. Review video and route in the AKEEYO app or desktop player.
Does parking monitoring require an additional accessory?
No second power purchase if you already selected OBD or ACC at checkout—that kit covers both driving and parking monitoring. GPS remains optional.
Will parking monitoring drain my vehicle battery?
Compatible parking power accessories use low-voltage cut-off to stop powering XPRO when the battery reaches the cutoff level, which helps reduce the risk of excessive drain.
Actual monitoring time depends on battery condition, how long you park, temperature, and whether you use OBD or ACC.
What memory card is included?
A 64GB microSD card is included; compatible cards up to 256GB are supported. Use a high-quality, high-endurance card that meets the recommended speed rating. Locked clips and files saved to your phone are not removed by normal loop recording.
How well does XPRO record at night?
XPRO combines the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor, an F1.08 aperture, true 4K, and HDR to keep more usable road detail in low light and high contrast. Clarity still varies with speed, distance, weather, lighting, windshield condition, and surrounding vehicles.
Can XPRO handle hot and cold weather?
Designed to operate from −20°C to 70°C (−4°F to 158°F). The automotive-grade supercapacitor suits changing cabin temperatures better than a typical lithium battery, and the six-layer ENIG board supports long-term in-vehicle use.
