在 RAV4 發生車禍後該怎麼做：行車記錄器影像如何保障你的權益

碰撞發生後的那一刻，吵雜、混亂又迅速。你的手在發抖，對方駕駛已經在說話，而你買行車記錄器就是為了這一刻——它就在你眼前，卻正以每分鐘為單位不斷覆寫自己。

大多數行車記錄器畫面會遺失，並非因為攝影機故障，而是因為事發後最初半小時內所發生的事。影片片段被覆寫。檔案還沒寫入完成，記憶卡就被拔除。影片從未傳送給任何能派上用場的人。

首先：安全與基本法律事項

以下所有內容都假設你已先處理好這些事項。加州保險局的指引可作為美國任何州別的參考範本（CDI，事故發生後該怎麼做）：

1. 停車。 只有在安全的情況下才移動車輛。
2. 檢查是否有人受傷並撥打 911 若有人受傷。
3. 報警。 他們未必會處理每一場輕微事故，但大多數保險保單要求在指定時間內通知警方，而且報案編號日後很重要。
4. 交換資訊。 取得每位駕駛的姓名、地址、電話號碼、駕照號碼、車牌號碼及保險資訊。要求查看駕照與行照，而非只聽口頭回答。取得乘客與目擊者的聯絡資訊。
5. 拍攝現場。 拍下所有車輛、道路、交通標誌，以及任何阻擋視線事物的損壞情況。
6. 通知你的保險公司 要及時。在加州，若有人受傷或損失超過 750 美元，還必須在 10 天內向 DMV 申報；其他州則有各自的門檻。

你的行車記錄器不能取代這些。它會讓第 4 步和第 5 步更難以被爭辯。

為什麼行車記錄器影片會改變理賠處理方式

沒有影片時，理賠往往只能依據同一事件的兩方說法、事後才撰寫的警方報告，以及事故結果的照片來判斷。責任歸屬會從這些資料中判定；當雙方說法互相矛盾時，保險公司通常會分攤責任，或傾向於紀錄較完整的那位駕駛。

一段清楚記錄撞擊前後幾秒的影片，能消除大部分的爭論。它能顯示誰在哪個車道、誰當時是綠燈、誰已經停下。這就是為什麼在現場安全無虞後，你能做的最重要的事，就是確保這段影片存在、受到保護，並送達正確的人手中。本指南其餘部分就是在說明這些。

你的影片已經鎖定了嗎？

行車記錄器以循環方式錄影。在 XPRO 上，每個檔案長度為一到三分鐘，一旦記憶卡滿了，最舊的檔案就會被覆寫。這是正常現象，也是日常行車時你希望運作的方式。但如果沒有任何保護機制，事故影片也會因此消失。

XPRO 透過兩種方式保護這段影片：

• 自動鎖定。 內建的 G-sensor 會偵測碰撞當下的震動，並鎖定目前檔案，讓循環錄影無法將它覆寫。靈敏度可分成三段調整。
• 用語音鎖定。 如果撞擊力道輕到 G-sensor 沒有觸發——例如在車陣中低速擦撞——只要說出語音指令就能鎖定影片。檔案會立即受到保護，完全不必碰觸行車記錄器或手機。

請在做任何與行車記錄器相關的操作之前，先完成這件事。檔案一旦鎖定，無論返家路程多長都安全無虞；未鎖定的檔案則隨時可能被覆寫。

如何不用傳輸線就把影片從行車記錄器取出

檔案鎖定後，請把副本從記憶卡取出。不要在事故現場直接拔出 microSD 卡；在行車記錄器寫入時拔卡，可能會損毀你正想保住的檔案。

如果對方駕駛已經離開怎麼辦？

Hit-and-run is more common than most drivers assume. Research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that more than 900,000 police-reported crashes in 2023 — about 15 percent — involved a driver who left the scene. (AAAFTS, March 2026)

If it happened while you were driving, your front camera likely captured the vehicle before or after the impact. Lock the clip, download it, and give it to the police with your report; a plate number, or even a make, model, and color, changes what they can do.

If it happened while you were parked, the camera only helps if it was awake. The XPRO supports parking monitoring with an optional OBD or hardwire power cable, recording and locking a clip when the G-sensor detects a bump. Keep in mind the XPRO is a single front camera: it covers the view ahead of your RAV4, so a vehicle that hits the rear or side will only appear if it passes through the front view.

How GPS data strengthens a claim

Video shows what happened. GPS shows where and how fast. With the optional GPS module, the XPRO stamps latitude and longitude, speed, and heading into the recording, and the app can display the route on a map.

This matters in two common disputes. The first is speed: when the other party claims you were going too fast, a speed overlay on the clip is a direct answer rather than an estimate. The second is location: a time-stamped position confirms the intersection, the lane, and the direction of travel without relying on memory. Insurers and police can read it straight from the footage.

GPS is an add-on, not standard, so if this kind of evidence matters to you, it is worth adding when you buy the camera rather than after the first incident.

What to send your insurer, and what to keep

Send: the locked impact clip, the clip immediately before it, your photos from the scene, the police report number, and the other driver's details. Send the video as the original file, not a screen recording or a compressed message-app version; the plate is in the detail.

Keep: the original files on your phone and in cloud storage, and leave the locked files on the microSD card until the claim is closed. Locked files stay on the card; everything else continues to loop.

Do not post the footage publicly before your insurer and, if relevant, the police have it. Once it is online, you lose control of how it is used, and in a contested claim that can work against you.

Two minutes of video can settle a dispute that would otherwise take two months. The camera does its part automatically. The part that is yours is simple: lock it, download it, send the original.
